What Even Is This Website?

This is just a side project, it's sorta to roast my friends and whatever while improving my web dev skills. Think of it as the equivalent of doodling in a notebook, except the notebook is on the internet and tracks how often Big C is being shady (spoiler: it's a lot).

We're tracking made-up statistics, word games, and writing narratives about each other. It's not that deep.

What Data Gets Collected?

What IS collected:

  • The entries you submit (shadiness scores, narratives, etc.)
  • Basic page view counts (just numbers, no "who", it's impossible for me to identify who you are or who anyone is)
  • Timestamps for when stuff was posted
  • Your Word Link game progress (stored locally on your device)

What is NOT collected:

  • Any personal info (name, device, etc.)
  • IP addresses or location data
  • Browser fingerprints or any cookies
  • Any kind of analytics or user behavior tracking
  • Payment info (because everything's free, duh)

Basically, it's IMPOSSIBLE for me to identify you who are or who anyone is. The code for it simply does not exist. 🤝

I'm Not Some All-Seeing Admin

I don't have any special "admin" features or secret dashboards. When I visit this site, I see exactly the same thing you do. Same buttons, same data, same interface.

I can't see who posted what entry, I can't track individual users, and I can't access any hidden data about you. The only way I'd know you used the site is if you literally told me "hey, I added a narrative about Ricky being moody" or something.

Technical note: There's a database that stores narratives about everyone (what you all submit!) and the WordLink words/themes. Oh and the graphs that y'all create too. That's it.

Pro tip: If you're worried about privacy, just don't put anything too personal or embarrassing on here. Stick to the inside jokes and made-up scores. That's what it's for anyway! 😄
